1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom 54 !!!

The cleanest example on the planet !!

1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom 54 in Ebony" incl. original Case

Extrem rare 1th Reissue of a 54 Les Paul Custom, only 60 where made in 1972 !!!

This guitar is in absolutely mint mint condition. No cracks or weathercheckings and nice yellow binding. The frets are just like new, the golden hardware dosn't show any wear either. It is light in weight when compered to many of this era ( 4,1kg ). Very very hard to find in this condition and sounds amazing !

The speculation is that the very early ones were made from left over timber and parts from the 50's. This seems reasonable as Gibson abandoned the P-90 sized cutouts in favor of Humbuckings for the Custom at the end of 1956, so surely at least some '56 bodies, necks and parts were left over in the process. Judging from the features listed above, this particular example makes a very strong case for this theory.
