1959 Gibson ES 335 Historic Reissue Nashville Custom Shop Limited !!!

Tolle Gitarre.

It's been more than 50 years since the birth of one of the most celebrated guitars in history, the 1959 ES-335 Dot.

The 1959 ES-335 Dot is still a favorite among players worldwide. Introduced in 1958, bringing hollowbody tradition and solidbody performance together for the first time, the ES-335 would eventually reach its most desirable form one year later in 1959. Players preferred 1959 rounded neck profile, which is a little heftier than the models produced after mid-1962, giving you plenty to hold onto. The revolutionary design of the 335 offers guitarists the best of both a hollow body archtop and a solid body design with solid maple block down the center of the body that minimizes feedback and the hollow body wings gives good sustain and tone. The solid wood meant the ES-335 could carry a tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, which worked together to produce a quick response, great note definition and the kind of sustain that couldn't be had from any fully hollow archtop on the market, thinline or full bodied. Factor in the ES335's sleek body design, the preferred 1959 rounded neck profile and the Les Paul look-a-like Tune-O-Matic bridge and you have a tone that is both POWERFUL AND PRECISE!

This limited production model 1959 Reissue ES-335 Dot from Gibson Custom in Nashville, Tennessee captures this desirable classic in greater detail than any Reissue ES-335 previously produced. It is truly an instrument born in the image of its inspiration. It's even made on the exact same forms that they used in 1959. Starting with the traditional plain laminated maple top, back and sides, with single-ply creme binding on both the top and back, the 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue is true to the original '59 specs in every detail. Its one piece, 24 3/4" scale length mahogany neck features a long tenon, a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays and a rounded '59 neck profile. The fretboard dots (rather than the later bars) distinctively mark this Custom Shop re-creation as a 1959 model.

In addition to its period-correct look, the 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue recreates the legendary tone of the original model by utilizing a pair of Gibson's renowned '57 Classic humbucking pickups, which is the closest thing to original "PAF" pickups on the market today. High-quality CTS volume and tone potentiometers with "bumble bee" capacitors insures the guitar's unique tone is captured and delivered with the utmost accuracy and originality. Classic semi-hollowbody design and dual '57 Gibson humbuckers combine to produce everything from full-bodied growls to singing sustain. The sound is awesome, warm and clean with the ability to go from clean warm tones through to smoking distortion. Other traditional appointments include vintage tulip tuners, a holly headstock veneer and all nickel hardware, including an ABR-1 bridge and stop bar tailpiece.

This 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue comes in the ever so popular ultra thin Cherry Red nitrocellulose gloss finish, just like the original '59 Cherry. It is porous in nature, and actually gets thinner over time. It does not "seal" wood but rather allows the wood to breathe and age properly. This thin finish is not just beautiful, it's functional allowing the wood to release energy. A thin nitro finish creates less interference with the natural vibration of the instrument, allowing for a purer tone.

Perfect to the last detail, this Custom Shop Historic model is indistinguishable in every way from the 335's that rolled off the line in '59. This guitar is 100% MINT UNPLAYED UNOWNED AWESOME and pure MAGIC!
